“Family is not an important thing. It is everything.” -Michael J. Fox
This will be my shortest blog post for the #AprilBlogaDay challenge. My time to write is limited because it was a beautiful weekend here in Michigan. Yesterday was sunny and nearly 70. Today, the temperature reached 78 degrees and we had a great time outside.
Considering we had a snowstorm last weekend, this was a time to be enjoyed with family. And enjoy time with family we did.
We invited my mom and dad over last night to celebrate her birthday (tomorrow-April 18). Tennille cooked our entire dinner on the grill. We sat around the patio table and enjoyed time with family.
After church today we went to the park to celebrate my Tennille’s mom’s birthday (tomorrow-April 18). We didn’t grill, but we were able to sit outside and break bread with family. It was a wonderful day.
Yes, our mothers have the same birthday. Like a good guy, I will not tell you their age.
This is a month of birthdays for our family. Another family birthday is today–my youngest granddaughter, Kristyna. She is a year old. My youngest grandson turns four on Tuesday. My brother, niece, aunt, uncle, and a cousin all had birthdays in the last ten days.
We had such fun and so much to celebrate, I have been off my schedule, but I don’t regret it. As the old adage goes (paraphrased)-“no one, on their death bed, ever said, ‘I wish I had spent more time writing my blog’.”

My Commitment – April Blog a Day Challenge
I have joined the #AprilBlogaday Challenge. The goal is to submit a blog entry every day in April. I will not promise each blog entry will be motivational, energetic, and thought-provoking. However, I will do my best to continue to reflect on my journey of learning and my areas of growth.
